Our trainers are industry experts who have practical experience of using Analytics to drive organisational change. You will be learning from people that can teach you the best practices for KPI definitions, tool set-up,  dashboard configurations and way of getting actionable insight, with a focus on outcomes based Analytics such as Conversion Rate optimisation. Courses: Morning (10am – 1pm)


1. Basic/Intermediate Google Tag ManagerPhil Pearce (Accelerate Agency)

This is a Practical session to go thought the setup of a live GTM account on your own website or the GoogleStore site.
You are going to be firing away with you mouse in this session, so… you will learn by doing!

  • Take Away`s include:
    – Working GTM account ready to deploy to live by the end of the session.
  • Prerequisites:
    – Please bring a laptop and ideally a portable mouse.
    – Watching the GTM fundamentals videos is recommended

    About the Trainer: Phil is an independent Digital Analytics, SEO and PPC consultant based in the Bristol. Over the past 15 years Phil has been helping clients improve their analytics and search engine marketing through the introduction of new tools and disruptive techniques. “Fail Fast – Succeed Faster” is the motto behind Phil’s approach. Phil is renowned for his in-depth technical skills and the ability to solve business challenges through innovative technological solutions. Prior to going independent, Phil worked for optimisation agency Conversion Works as a Google Analytics and search specialists and several other agencies prior to that. Phil holds a BA in Business Studies from the University of Luton. He is a GAIQ certified as well as holding search marketing certifications from all both search engines (Google and Bing).

 


2. Basic RPaul Newbury (Cubed)

This morning session is an introduction to R, covering the basic syntax and some applications of these techniques for managing, handling and analysing data.

Paul_Newbury_xoom About the Trainer: Paul is the founder & director of Yard Digital. He has 13 years experience and specialises in attribution and R. He has even built an attribution tool called Cubed to make visualising, understanding and acting on attribution more effective & efficient.

 


3. How to get started in Conversion Rate OptimisationRyan Webb (Search Star)

This course is structured so attendees can get involved and feel comfortable with the theory and develop the practical skills needed to review a website and identify the key areas for improvement. We’ll explain what CRO is and cover things such as:

  • Why just looking at data isn’t enough
  • How do you create a solid testing hypothesis?
  • What makes a great landing page?
  • Take Away`s include:
    – A landing page scorecard.
  • Prerequisites:
    – No previous CRO experience is required, but it would be beneficial if you have a basic understanding of Google Analytics & have a website you are currently seeking to improve.
About the Trainer: Ryan is the Conversion & Analytics Director at SearchStar has 15 years experience and he has optimised over 300 sites including brands such as Danone, Mars, Bose, Merlin Entertainment, Allianz & RSPB. What Ryan does not know about CRO`s not worth knowing! In recent years he has focused on combining Web Analytics and Conversion Rate Optimisation. He’s continually find ways to improve the performance of his clients websites.

4. Advanced Google AnalyticsNathan Stockford (Yard)

About the Trainer: After completing his degree in Astrophysics, Nathan has been working in the wonderful world of Digital Analytics for the pas 3 years as the Senior Analyst at Yard Digital. He spends his time diving into Google Analytics, Adobe Site Catalyst and related technologies to solve challenging tracking & reporting problems. In his spare time, he loves diving underwater in into cave! (dont ask!)

 


5. Advanced Google Tag ManagerPhil Pearce (Accelerate Agency)

You will learn how to unlock your GTM super-powers that you never knew you had! To super-charge your analysis, insight skills and ability to destroy bad guys!
