What is an “unconferance” and Do I need to prepare anything?
MeasureCamp is an unconferance format so… officially you just need to turn-up & wing it on the day.
But if you want to prepare something in advance here are some tips:
- Regarding approach for talk, the most important make it fun! This could by adding a fun theme like IronMan or StarWars, Running it as an Analytics Challenge, Realtime Game, or an interesting/unusual story for instance John Woods did a talk on “British Photo Reconnaissance in WW2 teach us how to better organise digital analytics today”.
- Also, feel free to show off, if you have been doing cool stuff that`s cutting edge or innovated then add this!

- Russell McAthy, normally runs an ask the expert panel sessions at the end aswell. So you can join that panel or just listen to discussions aswell.
- Its a change to get feedback and test ideas, so if you want to demo something you have been building thats fine too. At previous MeasureCamps – Dan Bakers did a demo & feedback session on a beta surveying tool, and Craig O`Sullivan did the same with a GA Dashboarding tool called Profit Grids.
