One time at Cardiff MeasureCamp…
As a first timer to MeasureCamp I went with an open mind. My aim: meet new people, share problems and learn a lot more about digital analytics.
I came away feeling I had achieved this and more. I met some great people who were more than happy to share ideas and offer advice but at the same time have fun. Oh, and of course who would’ve thought my tweet containing a funny comment and photo of a wobbly toy would win ‘Tweet of the day’!

My prize, four tickets to any Cardiff Devils match and signed shirt. I chose the Coventry Blaze match on 25th February. Having never been to an ice hockey match I was not sure what to expect, apart from a good time – we were not disappointed!
As we entered the arena and found our seats, the atmosphere was electric. We arrived early and watched the pre-match warm up: an opportunity to get up close to the players on the ice. The Cardiff Devils loyal fans are amazing. During the match they chanted ‘Devils, Devils’ to the beat of the drummers in the stand, keeping spirits high.
Dancing to the short bursts of music, kept us entertained during stoppage in play. The fast pace game and quick-change overs between teammates was exciting to watch. Everything was to play for; the Devils dominated the game throughout in front of a sell out arena. An 8-0 Cardiff Devils win made the experience even more special. I collected my signed No. 2 Carl Hudson shirt at the end. It is a special shirt, which will hold great memories of my day!
I will definitely recommend the next Cardiff MeasureCamp to other digital colleagues and also look forward to it.
